Narrative Lectionary Sermon & Study Series Summer 2026

What is the Narrative Lectionary? A four-year cycle of readings (created by Luther Seminary) that follow the sweep of the biblical story, from Creation through the early Christian church. The texts show the breadth and variety of voices within Scripture. They invite people to hear the stories of Abraham and Sarah, Moses and the prophets, Jesus, and Paul. Listening to the many different voices within Scripture enriches the life of faith.
From Memorial Day to Labor Day, Pastor Diane will preach from the Narrative Lectionary to take us through highlights of the Old Testament (Hebrew Scriptures). Our worship service will be followed by a 45 minute Bible Study. Even if you don't attend the Bible study, a weekly take-home sheet will be provided in person and also below with devotional practices and daily readings.
